Do you cry during sad movies?
It’s okay, we do too. Your empathy levels are off the charts and reveal that you have been engaged in this type of work before. We want to give you practice to solidify your strong skills. Our suggestions are based on the research of the Greater Good Science Center. You could try:
Practicing questions that increase closeness
Identify someone you want to become closer with and make sure that you are both comfortable with sharing personal thoughts and feelings. Take turns asking a list of questions to understand one another better: Is there something that you’ve dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven’t you done it? What would constitute as your “perfect” day?

Reading great works of literature
Find a novel that interests you and read it. We have a few available that we suggest. Books host characters with complex personalities and by examining those characters, you can gain insight into the characters of your world as well.
